I have to say that's a jolly good face on the filly in the frillies
my dear chap!

The base looks cool as well. I think this is going to be the bestest ever version I have seen.

Well done Andrew, this is looking great and on the home stretch too. Great painting on the chair.

Hi Bob,
Pleased you like them.
The chair was simply painted with Humbrol enamel, followed next day by a coat of oil paint, which was then taken off with a dry clean brush, leaving the appearance of a wood grain.
I also used the same method for the stockings to give an appearance of a vertical weave.

Cheers,
Andrew

Andrew ,

Well done on getting this together , the painting looks good and the figures work well together as intended .

Look forward to seeing this

Nap

PS a lot of research into stocking weave no doubt..lol

Many thanks for very encouraging and visionary comments Paul. Now, let's see if I've managed to earn them.

Current update has the dragoon and his lady friend.....
edit......he looked a bit unsteady until the lass was positioned.

Hope you like it so far. Cheers, Andrew

Ribald indeed ooh err:D

lovely job

Paul.

Glad you like it Kevin. While it's been a bit of a 'pig' at times, it has been great fun overall.
No research for the weave for the stockings; just blind ignorance and a basic assumption that it should look vertical.
(I by-passed my usual mantra that 'assumption is the mother of all f*** ups).

Cheers,
Andrew

Quite a complex piece it seems!
Liking your work on this.
Nice to see classic figures still can have impact!

Cheers,
Adrian

Pleased you like it Adrian.
It proved to be extremely fiddly. Having it as a w.i.p. helped to keep me on track. If I hadn't, I may have given up at the 'hearding cats' stage.
You're right about classic figures. I've got a few in my GA, and my eyes are currently turning to the Kirin Highlander.

Cheers,
Andrew

Kirin's highlander...can fully inderstand that one. Not only a classic, but an exceptional sculpt, that is well above some of today's releases. A challenge to build though...just so many parts!

Cheers,
Adrian
