Fantastic work on this helmet.

BUT.....

Am I the only one to think that the helmet is not correctly painted?

Well, what I see on your paint work is a helmet that has been found some centuries later by searchers ...
I dont think that helmets were that way dusty or dirt on warriors...

But I might be wrong.....

Maybe, maybe not, how can know that, I guess every painter has an style and a way to paint not only a whole figure but also things like leather, metals, etc..Also remember that not every warrior in the history has to wearing a glossy helmet or a perfect clean uniform, maybe some of those helmets, swords, knifes, clothes, etc, were capture from a death body or found in the woods, none can tell us that...

Imagine that a warrior with a dirty helmet  I think somebody has been watching too many Hollywood movies, of course helmets get dirty and rusty when they are out in all weathers and have seen their fair share of action. So yeah you do appear the only one and yup you are wrong

And these gents pictured have the luxury of modern steels, cleaners and nobody actually hitting the helmet hard enough to kill them but gosh look rust and dents

Thx Steve for the pic :)

Am I still the only one to see a huge difference between the helmets on the pic and the helmet on the bust?.

The helmet I see on the bust looks for me like its just been taken from a long dead body...

But that's what nice about painting and vision of things..... every one has is own one, and is free to do as he wants :)

I can imagine if you were a poor man-at-arms robbing an enemy's corpse was probably a good way of getting what you needed.

In any case, that painted helm "looks like it's been places."

Thanks for all your comments and observation, now I'm working on the face, not 100% finished
Hope you like it

As you probably already know I'm one of your biggest fans.I love the way you paint and I think that your style of painting is artistic. If we all painted figures the way they really are it would be a bit bland.Look forward to seeing your bust finished.I just wish I had half your talent.
