Thanks guys, I really appreciate it!

Smudger 1960, I've been painting with the acrylics a bit over a year now and those paint sets have made the learning experience a bit smoother I think. Thanks for checking him out and your comments!

Marquismini, Agree with you wholeheartedly! The history aspect is important to 'getting right' (as much as possible), and a lot of fun. Thanks for your comments!

Tony, Right, since the figure is based on the painting it was natural for me to depict him in a wooded area. I appreciate your comments and for looking this ole grognard over. Thanks!

Thank you all so much for your comments! I originally posted my Sentry about 2 1/2 years ago and thanks to Darren, he has been brought to the forefront :). I am forced to respond in this manner as for some reason I cannot quote anyone individually. I just updated my computer to Windows 10 but, it spoiled some settings. Anyway, thanks again guys and Merry Christmas!

The only thing I see here Joe is beauty,I think you've done a superb job on this, not an easy figure to paint but you've done it beautifully and as I mentioned before, the whites look great (y)

Joe, i hate to be pedantic, but have you forgotten to put the ramrod on ? Apart from that, if this is your learning curve with acrylics then you've passed with flying colours (y)(y)(y).
This has long been one of my favourite figures. In the Nov/Dec 99 Issue of Historical Miniature there was a great SBS article on it. It was sculpted by an artist called Eva Riquelme and was her first try at a miniature. Fascinating article, lovely figure.
Best wishes,Gary.

Thanks Brian, I'm glad you 'still' like him :D!

Bob, happy that you took the plunge(y) . You won't be disappointed ;)!

Thanks Gary! Its hard to tell in the photos, but if you look closely the ram rod is there.

Thank you Macca!
