Here's a couple of photo's of a Mithril Miniatures figure I've just finished for my son. Painted in acrylics.

Cheers Marc. Do I win the "I never thought he'd paint anything like that" prize?:D
I think we take for granted the amount of subjects available for us to paint, there's so much to choose from and plenty of opportunity to try something different.

waouh Roger what a beautiful monster

It isn't "a dragon de l'impératrice" ! But it's something different
the reds are well painted, i think i can't do a thing like that
Bravo mon ami

Seb.

One of my drum heroes, the late great Buddy Rich, once said something like , "There are no jazz drummers or rock drummers or whatever...there's just drummers." I think Buddy meant that if you are an artist and have skill, you can adapt your work to fit an odd genre. And that explains why you can paint a dragon. If you guys could see the Three Tommies on the Somme in person - - I think you'd agree.

And after me saying that I have one question. Are you going to need to buy a cap stretcher? :)

All the best,
Dan

i recently read that games workshop will be doing the same thing !

Ugh! Frankly, GW's interpretation of Tolkien's world is absolutely atrocious. The Perrys do an acceptable job of sculpting, but I get the impression that the sculptors do not have a lot of (or any) creative leeway. Blah. They should have stayed with characters that appear in the movies.
