A 54mm resin figure painted with Andrea acrylics and based on the cover painting in Osprey's Saladin and the Saracen's (which is different from the box figure). Went for a swarthy middle eastern appearance on the skin tones.

Yes, the detail is sculpted onto the lower surcoat and sleeves. I painted, shaded, and highlighted the orange-brown first, then painted the gold details. The details were then outlined in very dark shade of the orange-brown. This was followed by the inevitable (for me) touch-ups.

The coat color is a simple mix of Andrea's Basic Red and Basic Blue. I was trying to make an eyeball match to the cover art on the Opsrey book. Close, I think...

Glen,
nice stuff! I really like your shading on the individual quilts in the tunic. The gold work is nice! Will you have this guy on display at the Regionals in Mesquite? Hope to see it there!

Yes, I will be at the Mesquite Regionals as part of the North Texas Figure Club display table. The Irish knight will be there as well. See you there.
