Nigel, the leggings were slightly annoying me anyway, not because of the colour but the lack of cord. Just added some now, so will repaint them anyway.I based the colour on this colourised image mate.
They look a salmon colour to me. Need to add some cord, or paint it in I think.

I think they are early leg gaiters, seen other images of Doctor Wilson wearing the same. Obviously his preference and thing, all the kit was slightly personalised.Maybe he did wear pedal pushers.....
I can't argue with the historical accuracy, so maybe add a bit more grime and shading to make them look less flesh-like?
Thank you very much Matt, appreciated.Top notch. I love everything about this!
I can only agree, the groundwork is looking great so far. I think it complements the figures perfectly.
Thank you kindly Malc. When I add the weathering products I just hope it doesn’t hide all the foundation work.Even in the early stages the gorundwork is looking great.

Oh very witty Oscar!
I'm disappointed that I won't be able to make Bugle Call
Thank you kindly. Still lots to do on the figures, sledge and scenic base before this one is complete. It’s coming together slowly.Wow, that is a fantastic diorama! You've really captured the harsh environment through which this expedition travelled.
