You know I'm only jealous of your other mm mounted's that I'll bet are on order,
as well as the two you have just received Ron ;)

Did you spot the cheaper mounted Carabinier ? (MMCV series).

Paul

No didnt see that.
took the plunge and hacked off a bit of the cartridge belt and made a blanket roll from green stuff , done all the reins then knocked the feker over and knocked off the plume for the second time  surprised thats all the damage done ,

What about internal injuries :inpain:

No need to worry Del , solid centre.... And so's the figure.

So sorry Ron that couldn't Be kept in !

I like the idea of the blanket rolled over the shoulder though,

Del? Do you need anymore led watches, just got a full fret of 'em there.
I'm gonna put an upright sliver of foil on one and have a celt with a sundiall on his arm !

Nighty night chaps, just going to polish my shirt and iron my brogues for work

On Sunday, I spotted a superbly painted set of flats in a scene by Benadikt Widmann on the Figure Painter International Facebook page. I have always had a soft spot for flats, Roger's (billy turnip) fault from way back.

Anyway, dropped Roger a PM to see if he had seen it. This lead him to tell me about the range of flats by 'Jupiter Miniatura'. Roger then mentioned I should email Brian Kewood at 2d figurines as he stocked some of the Jupiter range.

Quite by chance, I then spotted this on Benadikt's Facebook page from Jupiter painted by Dirk Ewert, a flat bust 80mm French Guard.

Monday morning, emailed a pic to Brian Keywood who was very helpful considering I forgot to attach the picture in my first email. He confirmed he had one and I did the deed via PayPal.

Today, Tuesday, the figure arrived and it is simply gorgeous.

So, I now have a large(ish) flat to paint......... I think you will all agree that this is Roger's fault :D but brilliant customer service on Brian's part at 2dfigurines. Many thanks Brian.

I look forward to seeing this mate you will enjoy them, they are a different challenge and you learn so much.

At our Bolton club meet last month, we had bring and buy,

I saked Pete how much he wanted for two figures and could we do a deal 'cause they are really badly squashed !

That's two more flats to do, and I haven't finished even one of my stash.

Paul

Oh I know they are not easy, I have ruined quite a few to learn that. The only presentable one I achieved was the amazing Amy Johnson by Rich Odell. That was posted on here http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/rich-sculpts-amy-johnson.66843/ last year. Absolutely beautiful sculpt and a dream to do. Of course, Roger had to his better than mine nut I enjoyed it lol. This will be harder as I just went for a soft look on Amy which may not suit this character ;)

Actually this is quite good!:D

IMG_0001.jpg Did you ever finish it?

Mark.

Cheeky git, that is finished.......... I am hurt now and feel my work is not appreciated..... I will build a bonfire of paint and figures this very evening and rid the world of my talentless efforts......

Or you could scroll down the thread a bit and see the end result, this is the WIP picture. It was all done in a day apart from primer which was done the day before.

I did say I went for the soft look :D

Ooop's,:arghh: Graham, I do humbly apologise for my stupidity. If you build a bonfire, I will submit myself to the burning! and deservedly so.

IMG_0002.jpg. :D .. This I do like! I will be shafted daft if I could match it..
