Hi you all, gents!:)
Here the second figure (1/24th - 70 mm) to go in the same vignette of the irregular Galeba already introduced here:

https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/galeba-ally-of-regio-esercito.314513/

This guy is a DUBAT (white turban) of the II Gruppo Bande "Akobo" that fought against the British Army in South-West Abyssinia, close to Lake Rudolph in summer-autumn 1940.

The figure is made in the same way of the Galeba:
- found in the net some 3d models;
- 3d printed,
- dismembered the models;
- reassembled the proper parts to the desired posture;
- added putty, wire and other materials to complete the figure.
For the Galeba warrior I used parts from 4 models (1-head, 2 left arm, 3-right arm, -4 torso and legs); for this guy I needed only three. :)

Any hint always welcome!

I don't know what happens but I can't any longer see two pics. I reload them.

Thanks Blind Pew!

Thanks Nap, pouches and other details are next to come. Thanks for displaying the pics.

Hi Gents!
Here a step forward.
- Added hundreds :eek: of pouches (just six, WWI imperial army, for Mannlicher M95) made with epoxy putty, paper stripes fixed with glue and two little pins made with my punch 'n die;
- Added some volume on the turban;
- Just sketched the second "futa", the light cotton blanket.
In the second pic the two guys together waiting for the forthcoming boss.

Hi planeteers!
In this hot italian august i submit this vignette in 1/24th reproducing a section of the tower of Fort Wilkinson at Todignac (West of Rudolph Lake) in Kenya just occupied by the dubat of the II Gruppo Bande "Akobo" with the relevant help ot the irregular troops that italians recruited between the Gheleba people.

The pic was taken in January 1941 after the Fort was re-captured by the british troops.

In the vignette find place three characters, left to right: a Gheleba irregular warrior, a dubat "capobanda" (about sargeant) and an italian officer (liutnant Saverio VERNY) giving instructions (still to come).

I'm asking a help about the overall composition. Any opinion and hint is more than welcome! Thanks in advance for every answer!

Here the threads for the Gheleba https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/galeba-ally-of-regio-esercito.314513/ and for the dubat https://www.planetfigure.com/thread...an-royal-army-colonial-light-infantry.324386/

Fantastic work on both figures, they look great. I think they need to be placed closer together for the interaction of both figures, maybe move the tower further to the right and remove more of the wall to close the base down a bit, I would go for a smaller base.
Cheers
Steve
