I have created a modeling tool (or did you think I was talking about something else?) that is about the most useful I have ever used! It is very simple, just a half inch piece of broken fret saw blade clamped in a pin vice. mindbogglingly simple, it allows you to use a saw in those hard to get at places and with the delicacy of a scalpel. The only trouble is, it is incredibly fragile, anything but the lightest touch and it snaps and goes flying off in a huff!
Does anyone know of a company that makes a tool like this only more robust?
best wishes Garyhiggins.

Gary - ive got some of the photoetch ones, can recommend them - occasionally though, I have to remove the blade and hold it in some long nosed pliers to get extra clearance in some areas, as the lock on the scalpel gets in the way!!

I wouldn't recomend the tamiya saws. I think they're way to thick and cuts crude. Not worth the money.

I get frustrated by the tools I work with.... But I think we are talking about two seperate problems.
