Here we are again, its a good job detto is not addictive as I have had more than a sniff in the last few months.
As you may have seen the body was undercoated in black, that did not work. Any way back on track now (famous last words).
The pelisse has ben finished and a little to tidy up on the rest. If any one has this in their GA , don't attach the left arm before painting underneath.
It will save a lot of cursing.
Not the best pics but because of the plume he won't fit in the light box.

He is really looking good Bob.

I take it that the pom-pom and the plume are not moulded to the shako, I always drill the shako and the pom-pom/ plume and fix in a thin brass rod then it is fixed in place after painting and is stronger in case it gets knocked during transit or at a show.

Carry on the good work mate.

Cheers Geoff , I always pin them, I am forever knocking bits off.

Thanks Nap. I have used quite a bit of the dettol stuff lately, Pauline hates the stuff but I love the smell or maybe thats just me. Always had it put on cuts as a kid, diluted I hasten to add.
I wish I would listen to my own advice some times. Those tiny voices in me head.

Great progress Bob.
Looking very sharp Sir
Keith

Looking wonderful Bob - the face and reds are lovely (y)
Phil

Thank you Graham and Phil. I will post again soon with some more pics. I am on my hands and knees at the moment looking for two tassels for the pelisse, found one but the carpet monster has the other. I wouldn't mind but it a wood floor.
Cheers

This is where I am now, the bugle has been attached and what a difference it makes to the bust. I have a little bit of touching up to do, mainly where I scuffed the paint and along the shoulder belt.
I have made a start on the hands but remembered that I forgot to add a small detail to each pistol.
As for the pom pom at the waist, I had lost one and cast another from the surviving one. Good as new. The bugle was painted with Brass scorpion from Citadel and given a coat of 'ardcoat, again from Citadel.
Onto the photos, as said, he will not sit easily in the light box with the plume, so I will take some better ones when he is complete.
