Firstly are TAIKO MINIATURES still trading and if so is there contact details for them or supplier?
Secondly does anyone have their 75mm Celt carnyx 'player' that you might sell?
Cheers
Derek

He stopped trading a long time ago Del. A great shame because it was a nice little range.

I was lucky enough to grab that piece and the Roman cornecian at the time (the latter is part done on the shelf of shame). It’s not one I want to part with but if that changes I’ll let you know and give you first dibs. Sorry I can’t be more help.

Hello Michel. 1 and 3 are already part of the scene along with Pegaso's other mounted celt.
The Romeo figure is one I didn't know about and could well work.
Thanks for posting.

Del, I have that Romeo Celt and while it's a lovely figure (sculpted by Gianni La Rocca) just be aware that it's a very "generous" 75mm piece. He measures just shy of 80 mm to the top of his head (that's without the helmet). Might be an idea to double check that he wouldn't look out of scale alongside the others.

Good point. I've fallen foul of the varations in scale before.
I know people's heights vary considerably but in tight vignettes and dioramas as you say it's very much how the eye interprets a balance of scale differences. Personally I think it works best when the figures eye levels match in scale.

So here is a more contemporary one:
More than a decade ago, the unit I served in took an educational tour in Jerusalem, and while there, this totally spontaneous non-staged scene jumped to my eyes. I could not resist the temptation to take a photo (sorry for erasing the faces, as both officers were good friends of mine and I'm not sure they would like identified pics of them floating around)

Yep. In miniature, you won't get away with anything more than about 2-3% difference in overall height. It really is that marginal. As Steve rightly says, otherwise it just won't look right.
