Uniform Detail needed for Scots Grey 1825

Hi All,

I'm currently working on United Empire Miniatures Scots Grey. I bought this while ago on Ebay but it came without any colour references and only the box art to go by. Can anyone help with references in Particular,
The Busby has a circular section on top with a Horse detailed into it, I've no idea of the colours to use here.
The Officers Belt, is it Black or White
Colour of the Turnbacks...Red?
Any help of pics would be appreciated, it is an Alan ball sculpt with lots of detail so I would like to get it right!

Keith, I think the horse detail on the headgear is a white Hanoverian horse on a red background. I'll have a look and see if I have anything else.

Thanks Roger-I am also not sure about the collar is it Dark Blue?...............I think you are right about the Busby, I've just found these but of course they are from the earlier uniform would the coat have been the same as in these pictures? I never did manage to find out which book these illustrations came from?

I looked in British Cavalry Uniforms Since 1660 (Barthorp & Turner) and it says the turnbacks were in the facing colour, blue, same as the collar and cuffs.

I am working on Scots Greys as well (1815 model) and I believe that being a "Royal" (Royal North British Dragoons) regiment the facing colour is royal blue.

Hi Keith,

just to confirm, white horse on scarlet background (sometimes there is a scroll too) and dark blue facings (collar and cuffs), thin dark blue backing visible behind gold lace down front of tunic.
