Hi Dimitrios,

That's one mean looking dude, the pose is pure Tropic Thunder.

The colours are outstanding and the contrasts ensure that every little details just pops out at you. Such an eye catching figure, so beautifully painted.

I'm sure there will be many more versions appear on the Planet in the years to come, but yours will always be the first. I can't wait to see it completed and fully weathered.

Mike, Giovanni, David and Tony thank you guys for the comments. I m really glad you like it so far.

Looks great so far, keep in mind that the flak jacket outer material was nylon and had a sheen to it.
Keep up the stellar work.

Dimitrios, Peter in English right?
I was stationed in Ellatha/ Ελλάδα many moons ago! LOL!
Your painting is awesome and I only wish that I could get a handle on the layering like you have.
Your flesh tones are superb and to be honest quite brilliant.
Is there any way to receive a few hi-res images?
γειά σου

Chris than you for your kind words. Hope you had a good time in my country. I actually dont think there is an English name for my name (Peter is for Πετρος). In free translation i think it whould be Jim. About the hi res photos i can take some and pm you without resizing them. Just let me know.
Ευχαρηστω και παλι!

The tones on the pants and flak jacket should not look the same as one is nylon and the otheris cotton.
Chris "Panzer" Mrosko

No, he's not made that much of a mistake. The figure is dated 1968 (since he's standing on some sandbags I guess he's supposed to be at Khe Sanh). At that time the Marines would be wearing the M1955 frag vest issued in late 1967. The outer cover of these was in cotton duck, not nylon (only the pockets on that version were nylon). It was only the later issues of the M1955 vest that had nylon outer covers.
