Thanks Aspirin. About the color mixes, I'm afraid I don't remember them since I finished this bust more than a year ago.Wow,REALLY NICE WORK! And the skintone is superb, could you tell us the color you used in the skintone?
Hi Mate
A wonderful piece of work as mentioned love the skin tones and the herringbone of the combat shirt ,the eye you have done a great job with what has been sculpted ,when I looked at it a while ago I thought the eye would cause some issues looks like he is taking aim or looking into a jungle sun, have you thought of making a shell pack with bandage going around the offending eye I did one for an ST figure a while ago and it worked really well ,will try and dig a pic up
Great piece of art work

Thanks Chris. Wonderful job on that bandage, and the blood effect is 100% convincing. But I said above, this piece has been resting in my display cabinet for more than a year, so I won't touch it except perhaps for dusting it with a feather duster.
Cheers, Gerard
Thanks Wayne. The nameplate was made in photoshop...so metallics are not realReal nice paint job Gerard;....Was tempted to get this piece as my Dad was in the Marines at Guadalcanal. I think you've handled the right eye very well ;but I personaly don't think I could pull it off.
Overall an excellent job on a ( for me would be a tough piece )..........Best Regards.....Wayne.....
Nice presentation also.Where or how to did get the nameplate......
Hi Jamie, Many thanks. About the base, I had some fun playing with a cigarrete lighter on the upper corners of the wooden base and letting them burn for a while. The idea was taken from this tutorial:Really great painting,
the black effect on the base reminds me of some of the volcanic sand on the islands the Marines fought on,
and the badge on the base works well too!!
The figure is well painted, exceptional effort.
Outstanding results!!
Cheers
Jamie
