Can't see a lot wrong with it Brian.(y)
The trousers look a bit of a pain to paint...................difficult to criticise without it being in the hand!
Skin tones are excellent.:notworthy:
Background for the photo is too similar to the trousers..............so that's "pants"..........................teehee!!:ROFLMAO::D

Say it into the other thread: Extremely well painted figure in all those lovely earthtone's.
Only thing that bothers me is the lightpurple of the trouser. But you can go away with it.

the only thing I see that needs any more attention are the feathers on his helmet. Other than that I really like what you have done.

Brian,i dont think you have anything to worry about here,i think it's stunning,i love the angle of the groundwork and the pose is terrific,i love the flesh painting, its very realistic and has that outdoor cold feeling to it which would be very true to a person outdoors, the metalics are also exceptionally well done,i agree with ron,i think its in the wrong forum mate (y).

you may want all the detail to be checked and critizised
i do try :D and coz i am no expert - i cannot see any :D , i find your work inspiring

i especially think the skin tone are excellently painted

if i would pick a bit more, the helmet, i might put a bit more shadow to get a better sense/emphasize of bronze and shape

The only thing that is not good is the background-colour, otherwise is really well painted....(y)
Regards

I really like this one Brian, probably one of the best or the best thing I've seen from you. Since you posted it here though, lemme see... first thing is I'd like to see larger, sharper pics to get a really good look at everything.

Overall nothing major, but maybe a little more attention to lighting direction would be good, making the topside lightsource a touch more obvious.

I think the shading of the fur (kilt?) is a touch overdone and lightening the darks a bit would make that look more like a uniform piece.

On the skintones, although they're done very nicely as-is, I'd suggest adding a bit more variation to its colouring - the torso reasonably pale like here because it would normally be covered (presumably) while the arms and hands would be much more tanned as they'd be exposed to light so much more. A little blush around the pectorals might look good too, often see that when someone is bare-chested out in the open.
