Sorry Ross, but I can't see a picture of your figure. It's a shame because it's a theme I'm really intrested in. I hope you manage to show us a pic anyway.

Greetings,

Gino

Gino,
Right click the space where the picture should be, choose properties & copy & paste the url to your browser, it should also mean that you'll see it when you come back to the forum! EDIT(or just use the link that Gordy added while I was typing all that!!)

Ross,

Like it! Is this a commercially available figure? If so what scale & who by?!?

cheers
Simon

Am I going mad?
Gordy, your link opens another window with this thread in it????

EDIT, until I do what I suggested to Gino & then it works!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!
I've got a headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice looking figure Ross, please tell me it's larger than 54mm (I don't do that scale, too fiddly)
I hope it's not, you can "get away" with far more in a smaller scale!! ;)
If this is a commercially available fig (& still available) my Xmas list has just grown again!

Simon

I'll jump in. It's a Time Machine 54mm kit. Part of a big line of ancient Celts they offer. Really nice kits with substantial ref sheets.

I'm not sure if they're American or British. But any major retailer should have them. Sentinel or Red Lancers, for sure.

Freaky as it may be, Simon, but Bonepartes carry the occaisional Time machine figures.....not sure if this one is still available though.

I'd better make sure I bring my wallet then
(not that it's usually got anything in it!! :( )

Cheers

Sorry Ross, I seem to have started a "hijack" on this thread!
Anyway, back to the original purpose!
What is it painted with?
I especially like what you've done with the "tartan" (I know it's not tartan but you know what I mean!) it looks very controlled (is that what I mean?) I don't think I'd have a steady enough hand to get those lines that straight & uniform looking!

Oh, Welcome to the site BTW!!

Simon

Hi guys. Yeah as has been pointed out the figure is 54mm and is by Time Machine Miniatures. It was sculpted by Rendall Patton and is a real gem. I painted the figure in oil. Can't stand acrylics. Tried them and failed so went back to what i know. I did the chain mail by buffing the bare metal and then applying a thin coat of silver printers ink mixed with a touch of lamp black. this was thinned with liquin as the carrier. it was then gently dry brushed with pure silver printers ink. Thanks for the comments guys. Ross

Hi Guys

All the Time Machine figures are available in the UK from Mike Squire who trades as Kit Bits. I last saw him at the Torquay Show in May 03. I think he was at the Bath Show last year - this years show is on Sunday 16th November (see you there?) He trades from Cornwall. If you want me to track him down I will see what I can do. He did have a website but I seem to remember it being a members freebie space with an address half a yard long.

Yes please Debra!
I've got a long list of Time Machine figures I want & don't really like ordering my figures from overseas!

Cheers
