Maybe I stand a bit alone with my opinion but when I see the new Verlinden releases (and here over the last years!), I am very disappointed by their lack of detail and sculpting abilites. Comparing them with, lets say, Alpine or Infiinity Shape, their look goes down from release to release. Faces, Clothing, general look, here is nothing which attracts me as a client. The detail is soft and poor, not sharp and crisp as it should be. I am very interested in the opinion of fellow modellers!!

Exactly Matt! And the posing is boring! Man, when I see Hornet Heads or the new Ultracast Heads, and compare them to Verlinden stuff... Years ago, when Verlinden started producing his stuff, it was a great deal: Interesting, very good masters and awsome quality. And now? Sadly...

I don/t think the Airborne looks too bad, albeit I don't like the way his left hand is positioned.

You can't beat the price. ;)

Regarding Verlinden's detail and overall quality; I think Verlinden's mold making process sorely limits the sculptor's options WRT detail and variation of pose. Verlinden was on the cutting edge when they first began and gave birth to a whole new industry. I can't see that they have changed much with the times though. They have had some very good sculptors in the past, but I don't think they were ever used to their full potential.

The OIF figure is unfortunate. It seems to have a handful of anatomical problems. Perhaps they're overanxious to fill a demand for this type of subject matter.
