Hi all , here is a Dog Tag miniatures 120mm Viet Cong figure which I completed a year or so ago .
I tried painting it in different way to my normal method and used a very limited amount of colours , no more than 12 or so I just used shadows , mid-tones and high lights .
I am reasonably happy with the results but it could do with some more weathering .
The ground work is made in my usual way the large plant is just putty and the leaves are paper ones from Fred Rex.
Please feel free to comment good or bad and thanks for looking .

Sam

Looks great Sam, the palm ties it all together without over powering the figure. The limited palette works well.
Carl.

I feel that the painting but also the scenery is quite beautiful!
Congrats good job!

I've never seen this figure, he looks great, perfect pose. I love what you have done with him and the setting for it, the whole chice of colours is great. I do agree about the weathering.

Indeed it's a wonderful finish, Sam.
The figure is also wonderful and indeed a ground work is a jungle.
I congratulate completion.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments , Ben this is only one I've ever seen displayed too , shame tho he's a cracking figure .

Hello Sam,

This is a very good job.
In addition, with a limited number of colors. Bravo.
Personally, I could see the leaves of the shrub a bit darker.
Just to make a contrast by a port, has his "hat".

But it is a beautiful perfomence.

Sincerely,
Simon
