Hiya Gary...I gotta say you're doing a beautiful job. The subject, especially that uniform is one that is not seen often and I'm sure will be very interesting to sculpt. The attitude of the figure is looking excellent with a lovely pose, and your sculpting of the clothing is wonderfully natural...really enjoying the pictures. Looks like you're really into this little fella, and for a good cause too.

All the best......Roy.

Gary,

I too am getting involved in this preservation project. Do you have anyone lined up to paint this figure when complete? If not, I'd like to volunteer myself. Great piece.

Matt

 very compliment, you are a great sculptor, very interessant this SBS. ciao Luca (y)

Guys, Thanks very much for all the kind words. I'm enjoying this projects very much. To be able to help save or preserve a historic site or an artifact(s) means so much more than any award or title in the hobby ever could.

Matt, Sorry, I talked to Joe Hudson about painting the piece for the project some time ago. I would gladly put you "on deck" for the next preservation project. i had wanted to do another figure for this project but have other things I need to work on, not to mention that time is a huge factor here. Have you picked out a subject yet?~Gary

Gosh Gary.............I'm gone for a day and you sculpt a whole figure. awesome work and I look forward to seeing it complete.

Here is the basic coat with some simple drapery work done.

The coattails are made up of four small sheets of A&B if you include the two front sides of the coat with some Aves worked over top..

Guy, LOL. I wish I could take the credit for doing what I've completed so far in one day. The pictures were shot over the past two weeks.~Gary

Gary,

It's almost sickening how fantastically you scuplt! And in 54mm, too! Amazing work there, amigo. Love the theme, love the pics and I know I'll love the final product. :)

Keep pumping out the pics!

Nancy

No problem, Gary. Keep up the great work. Hey, I'd love to work on a project together. Just let me know when you get time.

I picked up Alan Ball's Dragoon - Michael Roberts - and will probably paint that. If I'm really industrious, I've always wanted to sculpt a Hessian bust...hmmmm.

Matt

Thanks again for all the kind comments. Progress will slow down a bit once I start adding all the equipment.~Gary
