I was trawling through Planet Figure and an unoriginal thought came to me...

What would the figure modellers on this forum like, what would be on their wish list?

There is so much talent on show here and a huge eclectic mix of subjects so it might be opening a can of worms to ask such a question.

So many new figures are produced and so much does satisfy but one of my fellow figure modellers said last year that nothing has come along to inspire him - then the Tommy's War artilery set came out and he had something to get his teeth into. But his comment was made on the basis that another knight had been released, or yet another Panzer Commander...I did ask him what he would like to see released and of course that was a tough question to answer on the spot.

So those who do not sculpt what would you like to see.

I'd like some 1/35 Dispatch riders - there was one on the front of a Tamiya Magazine a couple of years back - a conversion I'd like one like this as well as a DAK, Brit and American version all doing the same - cooling down.

There are tons more that I'd like too - I am trying to track down the Pegaso Elite set of Foreign Legion diorama at Cameron, I'd also like a good figure set of Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton from Where Eagles Dare. Broadsword calling Danny Boy...

On the subject of dispatchers, I've always thought this would be good.(y)

How about some ancients that arent Roman or Celts ie Assyrians, Sassanids, Khitan Liao even Egyptians busts or large scale for my personal tastes. Same with Medieval I appreciate that they may not sell so it is a pipe dream largely but you never know they just might!

The only way to find out is to try it...some subjects out there I never give credit for but they seem to do well.

I'd take advice from figure suppliers though.

I am sculpting some 60mm Egyptians and Hittites for Morgan Miniatures! Any help?
Best wishes, Gary.

Sounds like a plan but my eyes can't cope with anything less than 75mm these days  days of painting 15mm armies are long gone alas

I would like to see a few more group figures (75mm or bigger) that are incorporated into a vignette/diorama like the Zaporizhia Cossack diorama that is due to come out shortly. I didn't think it would be my sort of thing but, such nice sculpting.

Here are some things I'd like to see in the news section:

1. An Alpine miniatures British paratrooper (market garden) in 1/16 (Please Teasung)

2. Some non-heroic exhausted Germans with 'close to the end atmosphere' (non poster boys, no ss, no MG, just rifle and grubby uniform)

3. civilians, including women subjects (but no pin-ups, enough of those already). Would be nice to have a series of 'typical for the era' civilian figures.

4. Figures or busts from famous paintings. The Afghan girl bust is a nice example, as is the cossack scene currently i the sculpting section. I'd love to 3D paint Vermeer's 'girl with the pearl ear ring'

I'll gracefully waive any copyright on the above ideas (as long as these become available fast) :)

Cheers
Adrian

Some 90mm mounted Naooleonic personalities like the old White Midels LaSalle I have on y bench. Been a long time since anyone has issued a kit like that.

Anything from Marlborough's war to Franco-Prussian war in 54 or 75mm in vehis would save me alot ry animated/combat posed... suitable for battle scene dioramas. This would save me alot of time on conversions and re-posing for the umteen diorama ideas I have banging around in my skull.

In simple terms: action, action, action! One more infantryman leaning on his musket or cavalryman leaning on his sword with other hand on hip and I might just spit!

I'm not adverse to painting ready-made dios and vignettes like some of the offerings from Andreas and Pegaso and those of that ilk
