Brian: Wow, so typical of your work posted here. The viewer,
IMHO empathizes with this soldier, and the Hell that he has
been thru. The faded and worn look that you create so
skillfully brings that point home. Well done,

Rick
Many thanks Rick for your kind coments,I'm glad you like it so far (y)

Crackin job on this Napoleonic, I have been thinking about doing one of the busts available and seeing your result with this has edged me closer to buying one.
What's next on the cutting mat?
TERRY
Many thanks terry, the next 2 busts are Doc Holiday from the movie Tombstone and a Cuirassier from the 8th regt capturing the 69th Kings colour

Hi Brian I am still being controlled by the paint, I can only dream of the day when you can look at a subject and know that you have the skills to complete it to a high standard without having your head melted along the way, I actually hold my breath when painting certain details and finish with a gasp for air and to think that the hobby is meant to be relaxing lol.

Hi terry, the best advice I could give you is to stick at it,practise and the more you paint will give you more confidence, once I learnt how to paint a tartan to an acceptable standard I didn't look back,if you can paint a good tartan most other things will seem easy, stick at it my friend (y)
