Great stuff.

I hold out hope that someday someone, perhaps you, will finally fill the void for a source Afrika Korps pith helmets. Though not popular attire with the troops, there are many photo examples of this headgear stowed on the exterior of panzers in the desert. I am certain DAK armour modelers would be jumping for joy if this particular gear became available.

Like this?

Third time trying to respond to the German tropical helmet render, but yes that is exactly it. The example has no seams on the crown nor the either side of the brim so that makes it the second pattern that appeared too late to be used in Africa.

No pics showing so added these from 44thCollectorsavenue.com

Deutsches Afrika Korps (DAK) 1st pattern pith helmet.

The crown and the brim are made of cork with khaki cloth covering. Nice red fabric lining and leather sweatband. Only a small part of the leather chinstrap remains. This helmet was manufactured by "Helmfabrik Keller & Co" of Oberleutensdorf.

So are your products print on demand or is it just the files you make available?

Excellent. Hope you can add the extra seam details plus the loop band at the rear. In the meantime will await official announcement of availability.

Hi
You mentioned that a ACW cannon was a WIP, will this be available in 1/24.

Also would be interested in Enfield model 1853, 2 band and 3 band rifles for the ACW.

The cannon is still in progress, I'm collecting more references :) . I will consider the other weapons too.

Regards!

You know you already have my vote for the Enfields.
Do you need reference material for anything ACW?

Rick In Virginia

Hi, Rick, many thanks! Do you have any reference of Napoleon 12-pounder? It is almost ready, but I have to check some details.
Enfield is next on the list.

Regards!
