Wow, A new look!!!

I was really surprised when I clicked on my usual link. At first, I thought there was something wrong. Maybe I did click something else. I retried it and no, that was it.

A new look, new features, new design.

At first, I wasn't sure if I was happy with the change. The old presentation with all the new stuff on the same page! It was easy to glance at the new stuff. Now, you have to dig a little more to get the info.

I guess this change was certainly needed cause you dont change a good formula. This will take time to get use to. This will certainly make people a bit angry and sad not being able to get the old formula back.

But then, we will forget about the old version. And we will get use to the new version and start to appreciate all the work that is involved in the site from you, Gordy. You did your part. Now, we will make the effort to appreciate and stop refusing the change that was needed to operate this site properly.

Bravo for the change. I will learn to like it.

Vincenzo, I'm working to solve that :)

I'm working on building a new front page with the same formula, unfortunately time is against me! ;)

Some positive changes. I like the inclusion of color in the design and the ability to see the photos of the "trhead" while writing. The new system for uploading pics, now is more direct than before.

Gordy, Did you change the default style? I think it looks nicer than the XenForo default grey style, more familiar style as old style. Good job!
Also, the default font size of this forum content is now bigger than default size and more easier to read now, thanks!

Question: Have you decide serif font-family as default?

You can go with the grey option by clicking the style chooser link at the bottom left:

The grey has no serifs :D

It was a long 24 hours, longer than I thought, most the main bells and whistles are back in order and the missing items will return shortly. Please post any issues or questions you find here in this thread.

Have fun!
I tried the whats new button when not logged in and it returns an error message and no news :)

Logged in it works fine :)

Gordy, thanks for all your efforts. Really cool work.

I'm sorry to say however that I stopped receiving daily emails with the updates on the forums I subscribed to originally. Do I need to re-subscribe and if yes, how??

Also, the new version does not allow access through Tapatalk which provides an easy way to access PF through smartphones and tablets. Are you aware of this?

Many thanks in advance
Nicolas

Tapatalk will return shortly. :)

I noticed two new things today, about the new format, that are improvements I've wanted for a while:

1. My album photos are now sorted by default in order as I uploaded them. In the old album format, they sorted as latest uploaded, first displayed.
2. If you use the What's New page to browse new posts, as you read each post and return to the new items list, the item you just read is now removed from the list! Previously, the item you just read was still in the list, just that its title was no longer bolded. I always thought, "I just read that thread, now it can go away until someone posts something new".

Thank you, Gordy, and again, congrats on the upgrade!

Prost!

Gordy, yesterday I made a replacement of the "old" blue for the grey new PF banner, now I will change the link again to blue.:ROFLMAO:(y)
