I got this one from E-bay about a week ago, I have always wanted to paint this one and when I saw Daddy O's version, I had to buy and paint it.
Face in oils and the rest in acrylics.
the poster used was resized in photoshop and printed on plain printing paper and the face was coated in thinned white glue.
Thanks for looking.

The leather pieces (jacket and boots) are especially excellently done.

Tip of the hat to you, Sir.

Many thanks for your coment Ned, this is a favorite period after the British Victorian era. I suppose it was watching Western's on TV as a kid with my Father that inspired me.

Cracker Bob one of your best (y) I've really got to get myself one of these.

Glasgow is a real cowboy and indian (native american) city. Those of us of a certain age love cowboy films and the stories surrounding his visits to the city are wonderful. These include the entire Indian contingent of his show being invited to a civic reception and dinner at the city chambers. Several of the 'indians' ending up in Barlinnie Prison after a classic Glasgow bar brawl :ROFLMAO:
The best one is that one of the indians (Crazy Horses cousin, Kicking Bear) stayed in digs in Dennistoun and 'took' up with the landlady (a practice followed by many of a university student in my day, sure beat paying rent ;):sneaky:) http://www.snbba.co.uk/1891.html
Cheers Derek

Thank you Paul, your's was the inspiration.
Thank's samson.
Cheer's Warren, I wanted to get the figure done and a great one it is.
Thank you Del very much for those kind words. Yes I am of a certain age when on Saturday mornings going to the ABC club at the local flea pit to watch another instalment of the 'Lone Ranger' or whatever western was being shown or watching the TV (mid 60's) following Bonanza, the Virginian but my all time fav was 'Lonesome dove'. I only wish I had a few more of the set.

Regards and Ye hah!

Ye hah indeed :D
I hadn't seen the complete listing before Bob - some crackers there (but then I'm partial to Sid's work as you know) Pretty sure I've got Calamity knocking about unpainted as well as the Scout figure and a few are still available from Historex as you know.

See you soon
Paul
