WIP Winter Warrior painting

Started this a few days ago, painted in acrylics, still work to do on the face and the helmet but its getting there

Hi all, quick update, did a bit more work on the helmet, added a touch of blue/green, sort of sea salt damage to the iron, just in pinpricks to different parts, and started the chainmail and the leather sleeve. More to do on the sleeve im not happy with the finish yet









oh yes and the hair as well, a few more highlights to go yet

heres a few more update pics for your perusal, i lightened the leather sleeve up and tartaned the other bit, just need to make it look a bit worn and grubby now

Hi all. a bit of progress with this, i have changed the sleeve, didnt like the tartan, and gone for a grey blue with a bit of decoration around the cuff, the left arm is base coated ready for shading, the belt needs a bit more work but its getting there

Your probabaly right but i was going from the fact that they invaded everywhere and chances are they would have taken up some of the local cloth, i did send an email to a friend of mine thats the curator for ancient history at the british museum to check it, but no reply yet
