Great looking concept, however a question -- Did British paras ever jump from gliders? It looks like a glider in the picture, so possibly the soldiers are from an Airlanding(Glider) unit, maybe even D company, 2nd Battalion, The Ox and Bucks on their way to Pegasus Bridge.
Perhaps someone with a better knowledge base than me can provide info. on the original picture.

Lol, we're aware that the Brits were well in the invasion too! I understand that feeling. I love this piece! So much character. I'm thinking the 1/16 busts with that glider enough to do the rounde and the graffiti would make a nice piece.

Up to now I thought General De Gaulle landed in Normandy accompanied by some Brits and Yankees ...

I had a bit of a trawl through the 'internettie', and came up with this:-

No doubt, that's gonna be great! From a design perspective, I really like that the back view proves that the front view is realistic, by showing how they get all their heads in the door. We assume reality when looking at pictures (like your inspirational photo), but sometimes in modeling we see the limits stretched. I'm not sure it would have quite the same impact (for me, at least) if it was just the front view.

Well done! :)

Well mate, LOVE IT!!
But not at that big scale!
Any chance of making that in 1:35? I have a perfect Horsa for it! :D

Hello Mr. Francisco

Thank you so much for your email. You will have 1/35 scale, for you can use in the horsa glider that is available in that scale. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much.
Big hug

Oh wow.. I love this.

But the biggest problem is, in 120mm this will be a humongous piece. Where to display it...?

I gues 75mm will be the best compromise size for a full kit. 120mm will be good for the flat Wal display.

Put me down for at least one.

No, I did not say each.. I did not.. I think.

Looks like my neighbor wil have to sell his other kidney too..

I think I agree with Nap when he says that this would like better as a plaque in the same vein as that group of figure produced by Sarnia Minatures (sadly no longer producing) of figures hanging out of train window following their return to the UK after Dunkirk.
