Face is done
Eyes a tad bold but they were too faint yesterday so needed to be made more definite
Not meddling with them any more
Too chilly and gloomy to take photos

Managed to sneak a quick session in after lunch. Just about enough time to shade the kepi before my fingers stung with cold.

Back garden bushes cut before it started raining.
All, well most, of the clippings stuffed into the 'Brown Bin' (garden waste), which is the big ball-ache.
Now I just need there to be enough light to shade the sack coat.

Sack coat is ~60% shaded now. Arms are done, which is always a good thing, although the variable cloud made lighting awkward at times

Sounds good David, am I right in thinking you paint by natural light? Must admit I couldn't do that it is too varied in quality, I needmy 3 lamps. That said I do believe that the first light of the day is the best light to paint by if you are painting on canvas or doing water colours, but that means getting up early, never a good idea.

Cheers Simon

Yes I do. In the conservatory, so there's plenty of light, but it's weather dependent. And cold in winter!
I don't get on with artificial light.

I don't much mind the artificial light, I used to use daylight simulation bulbs but with shop closures over the pandemic I don't know where to get them any more and I don't trust the postal system to get something that delicate to me in working order. Must be frustrating though when you have the time but the weather is horrible.

... Or vice-versa, like today!
