Vallejo red leather base, washed with burnt umber oil then progressively lighter oranges drybrushed.(y)

Lovely bit of work on the tartan mate, I bet there were a few choice words in the Barton household when that was in progress.:whistle::D

Seeing that he has a clay pipe, I saw an idea in a book by Shep Paigne. Put a small dob of glue in the pipe's bowl, touch a cotton bud to it, and when it's set tease it out. It leaves a realistic whisp of smoke that livens things up no end:). Just an idea, if you like it use it.

Just picked this one up at the APG show last weekend. I hope my tartan comes out half as well as yours did. Exceptional brush work
 
Missed this one quality work mate, as everyone as said tartans are superb (y) Not sure why he's wearing a UN beret though :sneaky:
