Hi all!

I have an embarrassingly large amount of stalled projects littering my work room.
This was one of them. :)

Given to me by Carl Barton many moons ago, I think I stripped a lot of it and took it apart before priming with my usual grey auto primer. All done in acrylics from either Vallejo or Citadel.

I think I will do a little more on the stock of the MG after seeing these pics.

The decals on the helmet are hand painted, all metallics are NMM...

Please feel free to comment, crit and correct.

Oh and it was actually fun to do if a little complex on construction :)

Hi Mark;
Great work as usual. Really looking forward to you giving a demo at the White Rose club. Hope to see you in Huddersfield in a couple of weeks.
Peter.

hello
your white piping of the collar is incorrect.this was worn only by unteroffiziere yours is an Obergefreiter.the rest is really lovely.but this should be corrected spoils the whole thing.

cheers

find andonther hobby Marc, not good.

no man, this is upperclass painting!
Indeed, you make aspects that often are neglected, noticable.

love this one.

René

Mark ,

A stunning piece of paintng in your very dsitinctive style , fleashtones are amazing ,love the wer and tear on the MG , like Rene said you make aspects often neglected noticeable. for example the watches together with the NMM on the belt buckle and the wound badge on this one

For me I would have lightened the uniform colour a little more ,

Thanks for posting ...wish I could get to White Rose

Nap

PS Love the hairy arms as well !!!!

Nice work on this Mate. You've managed to tone down his magazine cover face. The Mg was the first thing that caught my eye..great painting! Usual high standard with the eyes and I love the arm hair effect.

Phew!

Many thanks for the positive input all :)

I have sorted the bi-pod and added some weathering to the ends of the arms...
A few additional layers of smoke to the stock has added some nice depth to the wood effect
and helped to pop the little area of damage I cut into it.
I also tidied up the ribbon :)
Shot on a green backdrop just to see how it looked ....
