Hi all!
One day I was inspired by a couple of photos from the Internet - these are old (I believe) photos of Japanese people with tattoos. I wanted to paint something like this. So I sculpted a bust and cast 4 pieces for myself. I realized that I need to change the hairstyle of my bust - shave a small part. I primed the bust and outlined the colors. Then I realized that it was possible not to cover the body with flesh color - everything will be covered with a tattoo later.

Then I drew the lines of the tattoo - I always draw the contours of the ornaments with a brush, but this one time I tried it with a pencil - it worked. The main thing is not to tear off the primer, you need a soft pencil. Then I stroked the outline with a brush with dark blue paint and erased the visible remnants of the pencil - I was afraid that it could contaminate the paints applied later by mixing with them. And I started painting tattoos with different colors.

Olga,

Once again I am astounded by your work. Have you ever considered producing a book explaining some of your techniques, with photographs of work in progress and completed pieces? I am sure that it would be well received.

Richard.
