Completed 40mm soissonais grenadier drummer, 1781

Hello folks, I have finished my grenadier drummer tonight and was able to get the basing ready for the Soissonais regiment, so I took advantage of the finished figures and already glued them onto the base.
Unfortunately still waiting for the flags to arrive, it's been like 2 weeks! .
I have the fusiliers almost finished, the problem is that is 16 of them, so it will take a little more time but at least I could glued them onto the base and not run the risk of the figures being collecting dust or fall and chipped.

Thanks my friend!, actually the royal livery wasn't that complicated to do,once you decide on the pattern to do is easy.
i find that is harder to paint the livery on the bigger scakes cause you really gotta make the intricate pattern.

I tried to find jose de San Martin to paint but no luck.

Never thought of it that way but you're right... You can cheat a bit on the smaller scales

It is almost impossible to draw a pattern like that in such a small scale but the overall result looks fine.

Hi again, Daniel. Those two I´m working in, belongs to Labayen collection.

This is the figure of Bolivar, that I painted some time ago.:

This time I´m doing a single conversion, adding a moustache to the figure and I´m going to paint it in the same way but with red lapels, collar and cuffs, and with the saber in the right hand instead of the hat.

Me too, I don´t found any figure of san Martín but I know the web of Manes Marzano, which has some argentinian soldiers in 54mm and 120mm. He has, also, a very attractive collection of Hesse Cassel infantry. Maybe you know it. Here´s the link:

Man, that figure of Bolivar looks great!!! , I like the blue of the coat you've painted and the details, fleshtones are great too.
I think the conversion will be a great one.
I saw his website (M Marzano) , he is a fellow countrymen and he's got a very interesting collection of figures, thanks for the pics Eduardo

The groundwork looks great Daniel. I'm guessing the shorter grass area comes as a sheet but how did you do the longer grass in the foreground?
I must say the figures look even better when they are given "context" of the location and being in formation... Very cool

Colin, the short grass area is a sheet, I used as a base for the groundwork.
