You're making great progress on this scene, Daniel! Vision plus execution = miniature art!
The next time you do a split rail fence - nothing wrong with your first time - rough up the edges of the rails and supports. Take a few cut pieces and rub them roughly between your palms, or against a harder surface. You will be trying to take off the square and regular edges, and make the rails look more weatherbeaten. You can shave the edges with your xacto, as well. These fences were made in the fields, so the parts were not necessarily uniform - the rails sagged a bit, and the posts were rarely perfectly straight! Then do your weathering - you can't "over" weather these fences - and you will be set.
Here's a useless bit of trivia: in some places, those fences you made - rocks below and wood above - were referred to as "cow high, pig tight" fences. The wood posts and rails kept the cows in the field, while the rocks prevented the pigs/hogs from escaping under or between the rails.
Anyway, keep going on this project. Each addition seems to be an improvement in both skill and presentation. And thanks for taking us along on your journey!! All the best.

Thanks Don, i understand exactly what you mean. i didn't think of that but what you are explaining makes a lot of sense and it's s good to have your feedback.
I already started to work on it today with my x-acto knife, i will rough up the edges and it will look much much more realistic.

Great progress Mate.

Thnks my friend, i am really happy with the result, but i think i need to increase the highlights in scarlet for the Brit.
I find the the french red uniforms wore a more intense red than the British scarlet red uniforms.thanks for passing by :)
