Hi everyone!
Some of you have already heard about Attica Miniatures painting studio from St. Petersburg, Russia. However, today we are happy to share with you some photos of our very own miniature! Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor.
Scale: 1/32 (54mm).
Made of white metal.
Sculpted by Pavel Rodygin.
Painted by Stanislav Kurylenko.
The miniature is custom made and is not intended for sale as a kit.
The miniature was inspired by the Equestrian portrait of Charles V by Titian. Created in 1548, the painting is currently exhibited in Museo del Prado in Madrid.
The portrait commemorates the victory in the Battle of Mühlberg on 24 April 1547 which marked the end of the first armed conflict between Catholics and Lutherans. The portrait was conceived as a manifestation of the Emperor’s ultimate power and was dedicated to enhancing the image of a ruler willing to run the mighty empire as well as people of various religious beliefs.
