Hi everyone!

Some of you have already heard about Attica Miniatures painting studio from St. Petersburg, Russia. However, today we are happy to share with you some photos of our very own miniature! Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor.

charles-v-museum-sq-1_1000px.jpg

Scale: 1/32 (54mm).
Made of white metal.
Sculpted by Pavel Rodygin.
Painted by Stanislav Kurylenko.

The miniature is custom made and is not intended for sale as a kit.

The miniature was inspired by the Equestrian portrait of Charles V by Titian. Created in 1548, the painting is currently exhibited in Museo del Prado in Madrid.

The portrait commemorates the victory in the Battle of Mühlberg on 24 April 1547 which marked the end of the first armed conflict between Catholics and Lutherans. The portrait was conceived as a manifestation of the Emperor’s ultimate power and was dedicated to enhancing the image of a ruler willing to run the mighty empire as well as people of various religious beliefs.

I like it. I want a copy, please !
Some company (Emi?) already produced a horseback figure of Charles V made after the Titian painting. It was available commercially. It is probably OOP now, but some copies may still float around. I remember getting mine a while ago,, though can not find it in my grey army right now.

Sergei the company was named Il Feudo,it was an Italian company and the figure was sculpt by Andrea Ioti,an Italian master sculptor specializing in equines and equestrian subjects. It was a magnificent piece with one serious flaw, the manufacturer had produced the piece in metal but had not inserted a steel pin in the horses rear legs.Due to its weight the figure tended to bend forward after some time.If one takes the time to correct this the figure is magnificent. After Il Feudo went out of business the figure was released anew by La Fortezza.

Yes, Il Feudo-La Fortezza, thank you for jogging my memory, Oda.

good news. since the horse is only standing with one foot touching the ground, please cast it with a metal rod inside the leg. thanks !

That is great news indeed.

Oda.

We will let you know if we launch sales of the figure.

Thank you for mentioning the figure of Charles V by La Fortezza. We have googled and found the only faint image of it on ebay, so if you've got any idea where some photos may be found, please share!

Our figure has been equipped with a steel pin so it shouldn't become unbalanced.

PM sent.

Superb figure, the possible bending of the leg looks well solved. This kit must be commercial RIGHT NOW!

Totally agree.

Oda.

Thank you for your kind words! The figure hasn't received much attention in the Russian scale models community, so it's especially important for us to know that our work is highly evaluated and may be commercially successful.
