The guitar is now ready painted!
First of all, I painted the small bars on the fingerboard in "brass" ...:
On the shady side, each of the bars got a super-fine outlining with black - now they look them already plastically!
Then it was the "head" of the guitar, again painted as "wood", with fine grain.
The handles of the tensioning screws for the strings on the head I have painted ivory-colored, tinted some titanium white with skin color.
The mechanics of the clamping screws turn into "brass".
At the end then a small - but very important to me! - Detail:
Vladimir Semyonovich played his guitars as he lived: fast, hard, intense!
Therefore, almost all of his instruments on the stele, where the "hand" worked, more or less strong traces and damage of the veneer, which are clearly visible in many photos of him ...:
Of course, I painted these damages, too!
Even if it hurt me in my soul to purposely damage the beautiful rosette around the sound hole - THIS detail is a "must"!
Et voilà - Guitar ready!
Photos with hard artificial light show:
The wood grain painted inside the guitar body and my tiny, self-made nameplate have survived the whole grinding and painting completely undamaged ...:
Under normal natural light the guitar - however - looks like this...:
Tomorrow the strings will come ...
Cheers
