After a house move, first kit off the new model bench. A 120m original sculpt by Phil Walden of the New Zealand Mounted Rifles in Palestine 1917. I just added copper wire for the pistol lanyard and leadfoil for the canteen straps.
Painted in acrylics.

The base for the shirt was Jo Sonja Fawn + Smoked Pearl. Then I added more smoked Pearl, then Warm White to highlight. To shade I added some Storm Blue, then Burnt Umber.

Brilliant painting - the transitions between base, shadows & highlights are so smooth. I've got one of Phil Walden's sculpts for OzMods in my stash, an Australian infantryman fording a river in New Guinea, & this has tempted me to revisit it......
