Has the arse has dropped out of the kit trading market?

I used to buy from the market forum but I have quit looking at it. I get frustrated when I open a link on something I like only to find out they'll only sell in the U.K. or the U.S. It's a waste of time and pisses me off. They claim it's because shipping is too expensive but I'm thinking it's...

WIP Marshall Ney from Alexandros Models

Very nice work Yoshi! (y) You mention you use oils as do I. I use a Titanium White and Burnt Sienna mix with just a tip of Yellow Ochre. I mix these in different shades. Also I use Raw Umber for dark shadows and Venetian Red for cheeks and lips etc. I'd like to learn what your mix is. Would you...

    'verlustReich' (Das Reich losses...)

By the way, is the windmill scratchbuilt and how was it painted to look like weathered wood? I'm afraid I don't understand the Dutch language. Thanks again, Gary D

    Fine detailing and 'Blocking'

With regards to what Nap said, I understand a good practice is to remember to paint like you are dressing him. Flesh first, then paint each layer of clothing one on top of the other. Gary D

    "Surfer Girl"

Love the 3D image. Would we see her in a bikini top or a scuba type top? Personally I'd like to see a bit more emotion in her face such as smile or something but that's my opinion for what it's worth. Nice work! If this went for sale commercially to me it would pose the 2 most difficult things...

Hello from the kootenays of British Columbia

Unfortunately no. The last went out of business about 5 years ago and he only had a few anyway. I get mine from Steve at S.K. Miniatures or El Greco Miniatures over in the U.K. I find them cheaper and quicker than buying in the U.S.

Empty Kit Boxes... Keep or Toss

Hi Dee. What I do with mine is I keep the front of the box and cut away the sides. This gives me the box art and all the info I need for entering in shows etc. Easy to stack on their sides that way. On the back of it I write down my colour mixes so if I want to replicate something in the future...
