    Completed French crossbowman Normandy 1450

Nice to see you paint with Humbrol enamels. I used to do it too, but the new Humbrol is so different compared with the Humbrol 10 years ago. I can’t work with it anymore. Are you using the new Humbrols? Not having problems with covering?

    Dutch Lancer Airfix conversion

Another oldie in my showcase. Build in the 90’s . In that time I discovered the work of Bill Horan. Studied his article of the last stand at Gandamak over and over again. His work has been of great importance for my progress in painting figures. In those days I painted only with Humbrol and he...

Dutch Lancer 10th regiment Belgian Dutch war 1830

Thank you Ken and Mobo, I love to work with the Airfix kits. Soft plastic, easy to glue and to work with. It’s amazing how wellthought Airfix created the figures so you can make a lot of different figures. I still have the articles from Sid Horton( charge of the light brigade) in the old Airfix...

Dutch Lancer 10th regiment Belgian Dutch war 1830

The regiment played an important role during the Belgian-Dutch war in 1830. In those days it was kind of "flashy"to have a lancer regiment. Whether they were useful or not. The regiment was also called the Green lancers ( groene lanciers) because of the uniform. The figure is mainly the Polish...

    Frankish warrior WIP

I removed the cloak because I wasn’t content with it. Luckily it came off verry easy. Then I made a new one, before putting it on the figure I let it dry for about 1,5 hour. That way it worked much easier.

    Frankish warrior WIP

I’m sculpting a Frankish Warrior in 54 mm scale. Basic figure is Airfix Multipose Desert Rat, but with a lot of green stuff and Magic Sculpt he is transformed in an early medieval warrior. Still a lot do.

Rider of the Light cavalry 1747 Dutch army

I created this work when I got inspired by an old painting of a Dutch cavalryman. I used Historex spare parts to create the rider. The horse is painted in oils to create realistic dapples. The rider is painted in acrilys from Valejo and Citadel contrast colours.

Me too, I still have the leaflet that came with the halftrack. The way he weathered the vehicles with dry- brushing. It was the start of my hobby

Hello to you all. After a long time of no-posting ( because I did modelling things which got wings:LOL:) I returned to painting and creating historical figures. I"m retired from my work for 5 years now, and boy...I love it! More time for my hobby and no stress anymore. I joined a figure-club in...

    Fancy an apple sir?
