    Vallejo paints question

I too have airbrushed Vallejos without any problems, however be sure to, as Btravis mentioned, strain themtrough silk or fine meshthem before you put them into your airbrush.

    Napoleon in an unusual dress

As i tried to say before (but was beaten by my "Add reply finger") i too think that the sculpted version is beter on account of the things btravis mentioned. On the other hand there is a thing that bothers me on the figure and that is the size of his head, i think it is to small, the...

OK! how do I rescue this then?

Hi Simon, in case of figures turning out too dark i have used a thin beige/light ocre "filter" applied by airbrush. You have to keep the paint very thin, not more than aprox 5%, and apply a few coates deprending on how light you want it to be. The result should be a lighter and more worn look...

    Yugoslav Partisan Almost Done

Hi Duro fans, I have heard that Duro or Green Stuff is no longer on market it is supposed to be replaced by a similar putty called Blue Stuff that Staffan mentioned. If I understood correctly it is blue and settles white, althoughI find that hard to belive. In the US it is supposed to be...

    Pigs

thanks gordy! John the tamiya set that btavis suggested could be very useful as basic kit and you would only have to convert the legs or you could use the kits head (for me that is the trickyest part) and sculpt the rest yourself. here's a picture that might help you and a link to the site i...

    Pigs

Hi John, The proces is the same as with humans, you should get some pictures of running pigs to get the animation right and some drawings for proportions. I think that sculpting animals is actually a bit easyer than humans because we are not so prone to noticing mistakes. Here's a pic of a cat...

    Yugoslav Partisan Almost Done

You are right, it's good for thin rolled pieces and things like pocket flaps because it doesn't break. I've had some breaking problems when I was using milliput for things like that.

    Yugoslav Partisan Almost Done

It's a replacement head (from Zvezdas set Soviet naval infantry) to give it a more slavic look. The white putty is Revell (forehead) and the green stuff is Duro yellow-blue puttty (it's very much like soft plastic when it settles, hard to carve)

    Yugoslav Partisan Almost Done

Hi Gordy I'm glad you like my figure and no I didn't do the overcoat. The Corpus figure( http://www.ww2modelmaker.com/images/hobbys.../Corp35-003.jpg ) is so good that all I had to do was alter it a bit and add a new head. Is there anything I could do when posting picts so that you wouldn't...

It is great, I like it a lot. A very dynamic figure representing an obviously dead guy, god job. What do you use for sculpting Duro, Milipute?
