Beautiful work! The picture with the lamp turned on and the wall map to the left is stunning. It's very hard to tell that it's not 1:1. The toilet in the last photo could use some, er, weathering ;)

Excellent - very original pose for a pilot figure. Figures always help to add a sense of scale and context to aircraft models (armor modellers have known this for years). It seems that people at a display event will always give a model a second look when they see a figure with it.

Thanks for the comments and recommendations guys. I managed to pick up a thermostat control on eBay, so I'm heading down the box path now. Bought a switch with a built in pilot light (so you can tell just by looking if it's turned on) and a ceramic lampholder base. Hopefully the thermostat gets...
