Thanks Jay................next best thing to a guided tour. Reminds me of the years I spent at the kitchen table.

Unbelievable Jay thats almost an exact copy of my set up At the weekend I removed the same wheeled storage unit as yours from my sons bedroom. He no longer uses and doesn't want it anymore. It is now in the garage waiting for another use and I think I know what it might be
Standby for a similar photograph and guided tour from North Yorkshire.

Roger.

Here it is. Carefully designed to be cleared away at mealtimes  .

I shouldn't complain of my working space. I've got one spare room to myself at the moment. I'm not a computergenius but I 'll try to put some pictures on this thread.
Love to see al your work spaces !!

HA! Roger, you're right, that is nearly the spitin' image of my work area! Yours is a bit more mobile than mine, as I have now resided to only taking it down when we have company. But very similar. Our day is coming! We shall take over a grown childs room, or find our own section of a shed or garage... I'm certain of it! ;)

This is my "work area"....I think it's difficult to make more simple: a figure, colors, water, brushes..and it's nearly all  We don't see on this picutre but at the right, there is my laptop, to go to planet figure :)

So for me : simple, but effective...I hope

That´s my "work-bench" in the basement. Everyone can see, that I use it not only for painting. In a house there is always something to do and so such a room is helpful. And the advantage is, that I must not "clean" it every day.

And every 10 hours I have the permission from my wife to leave this room and
have a look outside

Alex...I like the Alexander's India Pale Ale... my favorite.. ps.. couldn't quite see any DAK guys on the bench..perhaps a paint/beer session at El Cids is in order...
Keep in touch...

Okelidoklido...Planeteers....Here we go. :)

This is my room which Ive annected to do my dirty work in. Its about 382cm and 316cm. I did my best to decorate it to be not only functional but also comfortable and relaxing to be in.

The only drawback is that you guys are so far away that I cant have you over for a chat or beer or coffe. :(
Which would have been great.

This is the entrance with the door on the right hand leading to a storage area. To the left and right foreground theres shelves.

Here the shelf in the foreground is the right in the previous picture. I keep mostly my stuff in progress there. On the top some of my stash can be seen. And yes, I do those military vehicles as well. ;) Not to mention wingy things, movie-kits, cars and ship and whatever I find interesting for the moment.
is.php

This is workstation 1. This is where I do the building. Note that the cupboards underneath the desk is removable for easy cleaning. More stash can be seen above the desk. Some evil thounge might insinuate that there some stash in there, but hey we are all innocent until proven guilty, right?
is.php

Here comes workstation 2. Heres most of my brushpainting is done and you can also see most of workstation 3 on the right where I take my pictures. And yeah, theres more stash.
is.php

Heres a more clearer picture of workstation 3 with the lamps for photographing above. As I started to take pictures with a digital camera I dont use them as much as Ive used too. And on the right we can spot workstation 4. This is where I do my airbrushing and a spraybooth. Im not sure but there could be some more stash in this picture?
is.php

These are some of the cabinets. Outside the picture to the right is the entrance and behind the cabinets is my computer station where Im sitting right now. And on the top row theres reference books and something that could be some more stash.
is.php

More cabinets, more stash and the entrance door to the right in the background.
is.php

Heres the view when entering the room.
is.php

This could be more stash or just some empty boxes.
is.php

As theres no room for stash planned in my hobby-room, I have to keep it here. ;)
is.php

This is taking more and more space. Reference and modelling books and magazines. I actually have another bookshelf for books and I have about 14 books just waiting to be read. I buy more books than I have time to read.
is.php

Another picture of the spraybooth made from a stovefan and a filter to recirculate the air. Built it myself.
is.php

And heres the man himself for those of you that havent met me or dont remember me when sober. ;)

Greetings to all Figureteers from a cold and snowy Stockholm.

Good pics Janne of your work area. You seem to have everything all well organized so that you can just come into your room and sit right down and go to work. Thanks for posting the pics.

After 17 years of marriage I finally came to a peaceful resolution with my wife about converting our dining room (which we used, like, once a year!) into an office.

So, for the first time in my life, I have a space I can call my own (except for the fact that my three daughters love to come in and fiddle with stuff and use the computer, etc!). By "my own" I mean adding my work space (an old kitchen table that I stripped and refinished last fall), book shelves/display case, supply table, work area with computer, and finally, my "Scotland of Old" map with all the clan areas, including Clan Robertson (our clan), situated in the highlands of Aberdeenshire (the little pink area located right in the very middle of the country).

This is probably one of the oldest and longest running topics we have on the planet. I found it on page 17 of the Painting forum and there has been no activity since last February.

I just recently re-modeled my den due to some up-coming events and needed to open up the room and have it more accessible. Now, years ago, I started out on the corner of the kitchen table......graduated to a walk-in closet.......and finally got my own room. Here is a link to the end results.

I hope our new members feel free to take photos of their work areas and add the pictures to this thread. If you have problems downloading them send the photos to me at [email protected] with a brief explanation of the photos and I will post them up for you.
