Pretty cool. If James Bond were a modeler, I'm sure he'd have one of those :)

The Danilo Cartacci book is a good one for beginners as it has many step-by-step articles. Here's a few links with reviews, etc. http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24707 http://www.hfmodeling.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=2845...

    Tavern the Dead Mouse finished

Wonderful work. I'm going to have to save some money for this diorama. The more I see of it, the more I wish I could out it together myself. Very inspiring and thanks for posting!

    Question Regarding Blog Sites

I was curious to find out if blogging PFers had any preferences for blog hosting sites. I've noticed that several people here have personal or commercial blogs in their signatures. Did you find one host better than another? Do some facilitate custom layouts easier? Costs (if any)? More storage...

    Printers Ink in Metallics

An alternative to the floating lid idea is to use a product like this: http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=1&p=30268&cat=1,190,44133 It is an inert gas that you put into the paint container after use that forces out the air and helps to preserve it. Brent

    Printers Ink in Metallics

I wonder if printer's ink damaged by freezing. I would consider ordering some, but live in a very cold climate and it would freeze in my mailbox (-30C). I may need to wait until summer :)

Dave, Absolutely beautiful work on this figure. I really like your painting style. To me, it almost looks like a photograph of a real person that is just slightly out of focus or grainy. Amazing. I would sheepishly add a bit of constructive criticism on the groundwork. The grass looks like...

    1/16 Athenian Hoplite

Great first effort! Also, it's good to see another aircraft modeler turned to the world of figures. I wish I had more time for subjects in both areas. As you showed with the decal markings, there are many cross-over techniques to take advantage of.

    New idea for a blog

Sounds like a very good idea. There's so much information out there and anything that can be done to consolidate it for easier retrieval would be very helpful.

Would anyone like to see some pictures from Atlanta?

    Great pics, thanks for posting!
