    Thread deleted.

I see that after being locked the entire Legion miniatures thread has been completely deleted. In my opinion it would have been better to move the content to the General section. The debate was principally about the appropriateness of a particular model. Surely this is a legitimate discussion on...

    New figures from Legion Miniatures!

That is at best a ridiculous, fatuous and pathetic comparison. Admired for its sculpting, animation and painting. And to be clear Culloden wasn't a massacre it was a heavy military defeat in combat not the indiscriminate slaughter of civilians. What we see there is a scene involving combatants...

    New figures from Legion Miniatures!

Leaving aside the quasi poltical interpretations of the composition, who is actually going to buy this? With so much choice in the market regarding medieval figures if you want a vignette have a look at Tartars range. Better sculpted, animated and interactive and far less offensive. Not that I...

First Oil Painting in 40 years

David. I've only ever used oil paints and after 30 odd years have yet to figure out their behaviour. So many factors come into play particularly relating to drying time. Even the same brand, colour and indeed out of the same tube can perform differently. Factors include ambient temperature, type...

    Anybody know?

A real pity that thats how they're going. I have zero interest in wargaming or D&D stuff but have used figures fom their disciplines in a fair number of display pieces over the years. Suitable pieces from GW for what I want have become prohibitively expensive, so I'm always on the lookout for...

    Anybody know?

Thanks guys. Found a couple on ebay but by the time postage is added I question whether they are worth it. Was going to do a wee project but I can live without it. Plenty to be getting on with anyway . D

    Anybody know?

Not so sure, offhand I can't remember any like this from their range. Faces look a bit too good for their early stuff. D

Bit of a long shot but does anybody know who manufacturers these figures? Cheers Derek

Where do you store your painted figures?

I display absolutely nothing I paint. Most go into a cupboard or drawer. Some are given away, some are sold. For me it's the creative process that I enjoy. I've even got figures still in transit boxes from shows of more tha 3 years ago. That being said I love to see other peoples displayed work.

    Ivar the Boneless

Couldn't agree more Mike. The only place for photo manipulation is where a background is added to a piece thats not itself been photo enhanced. We've all seen pieces that in the 'flesh' look nothing like their photoshopped image. Always refreshing to see untouched work well lit. D
