That's what I was thinking, and I've saved this picture to put on my wall, to urge me on to pay more attention to my technique.
 
Lots of subtle detail especially with hair & fur Brian.
He has a real windswept look about him.

Couldn't agree more Mike. The only place for photo manipulation is where a background is added to a piece thats not itself been photo enhanced. We've all seen pieces that in the 'flesh' look nothing like their photoshopped image.
Always refreshing to see untouched work well lit.
