WIP From Russian Cossack to US Cavalry Officer

Hello, I did a small conversion on Dragons German Cossacks: The US Cavalry Officer is almost finished, the other one converts into a Canadian Mountie (no pics of the Mountie yet.) I'm breaking my head about how to tackle the rein problem. Hope it's worth looking at though.

WIP Any good online horsepainting tutorials available?

Just wondering: Are there any good horsepainting tutorials around online? A website article would be fine. Buying books, up till now have always cost me a lot of money for about 50% tops of a book being actually usefull in teaching me how to paint. I have very dated copy of Verlindens The System...

US G.I. WWII Submachine gunner wearing HBT fatigues

Thank you Gordy. I meant to say, the second figure I show on Planet Figure...Which is actually a stupid thing to say because my first post in this section shows two already..silly me haha. Thanks for the advise and thumbnail thread!

US G.I. WWII Submachine gunner wearing HBT fatigues

Here's my second figure i'd like to show. Its a 1:35 Thompson Machine Gunner from The 2nd Armored Division Dragon set. I left out the camoscheme and tried to put focus on having a 'boring' one tone uniform become interesting. In my own opinion I did not quite succeed, but it isn't all bad. The...

    US 82nd Airborne WWII

Thank you for your constructive comment Marc. I think the cardinal sin in figure painting got the better of these... 'Lack of patience'. I need to learn to dot the i's and cross the t's along side expanding my painting skills.

    US 82nd Airborne WWII

Here are my scale 1:35 Dragon US 82nd Airborne WWII figures. A bit sloppy here and there I'm afraid but I'm trying to improve on that. They where painted with enamels and wear Archer DryTransfer ranks and insignia on their sleeves. Hope you enjoy it:

What would your top 5 be?

Mine would be: 1. Andreas: George Armstrong Custer at full gallop. Being a bit of a horseman myself I can fully relate to this beautifull sculpted kit. The movement in this kit, both in horse and Custer with his torso turned while riding at full gallop are simply magnificent. I've got it on the...

The Outlaw Josey Wales 1/10 bust

Great work! These are Walker Colts and really aren't (that much) oversized. They must have been the first six shooters around and therefor not yet 'very subtle' in size compared to the later used, Colt Navy. It looked about the same but was much leaner in appearance.

    Hello from The Netherlands

I'll contineu in English indeed, sorry for the Dutch conversation if any one took offence, I just translated my former post into English aswell. Not even a day at this forum and already learned I use the wrong medium for thinning and cleaning enamels. I'll start using White Spirit from now...

    Hello from The Netherlands

    Hello from The Netherlands

Hello all, I'm not quite sure if it is wise to join a forum which shows so much mindboggling, outrageiously beautifull executed figures. I don't feel my work is up to the job and is in a much lower leauge. Nevertheless I'm forced to leave my previous Dutch modeling forum. Not because there...
