    Brad I had a modelling friend os some 30 years ago who was an AFV modeller , his technique was to scuff up with an old toothbrush , off course on those dark ages the advent of acrylics hadn't happened so it was with oil based paints such as Humbrol or Revell ; results were very good

    we are fortunately lucky enough not to have Walmart stores in the UK Brad :rolleyes: I am experimenting with Army painter Skeleton bone , very fine and smooth .

    What a lot of people don't realise is painting of any kind is a formula . Ie base coat in acrylics , top coat in acrylics , undercoat in oils top coat in oils . I know I will get shot down in flames for this but it is a fact . You wouldn't undercoat a door with acrylic and then paint a gloss...

    Probably the gutter is a bit on the heavy side for Italy , plenty of houses of that period with no gutter at all . Put some electrical wiring vertical and horizontal on the facade and you got an Italian house :eek:
