I'm the culprit who commissioned Grant to paint this bust, and I'm delighted at how it is turning out. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. I had previously commissioned the Young Roman Legionary bust, and the pictures on this site simply don't do it justice. Its a lovely subtle piece of work...

Just received my copy and its every bit as good as Nap's review indicates. I especially like the provision of detailed reference and the 6mm brass rod and angled mounting hole - other bust manufacturers please take note. Very highly recommended - look forward to the planned 120mm Poilu. Liam

As it happens, I picked up another batch of ball bearings yesterday from a nearby bike repair shop - €1 (about 70p) for about two dozen. Ideal for my vallejo's. And Brian, there's no competition, they don't make them in your size :-)) Liam

Ahhh, 'Heaumerie du Casque d'Or ' - fond memories from 1979, when I worked in Brussels. This figure is one of those classics that "got away" and didn't make my grey army. Always regretted that............ Liam
