Robin was twisting my arm until I agreed to paint their first 120mm release. It is a beautiful figure in a great pose. Here is the face started. Painted in Vallejo Acrylics (Thanks for fast shipping Gray!!).
And another with the light as I painted him. It is interesting to see how much it changes with the different lighting setups. Little hard to get used to 120mm after doing so many 1/35th scale figures lately, they are HUGE!
WOW Anders!
Whast a good job you've done on that BIG face!
I love it!
I don't find the moment to start my first 120 figure.A challenge for me.
Keep up the good work,mate
Time for another update Some work done on the field cap and scarf, not sure about the diamond shape patch though as I didn't find any reference on it, but I found some pics of a similar patch but it was round instead of diamond shape so I kind of 'winged" it from lack of references so if anyone knows what they are supposed to look like let me know as I'd like to be accurate
Well, I had some time to paint today so I went ahead and worked some more on the Gefreiter! He is 99% finished, still need to add a couple of details and weather him. The weathering is going to be a lot of fun!! Anyways, here are the pics, let me know what you think!
I hate to say it.........but your work has gotten soooo much better in such a short time! If we gave an award for improvement I think you would have it hands down! Keep up the good work.
Wow, you are way to kind in your comments Im glad that I am making improvements though, as I've been working hard at it. Ever since I got more active here at pF Ive been striving to do a little better with each figure, and looking at everyones work it gives me inspiration and something to strive for. So its acctually all your fault
Here is the Weathering started, done with pastells.
