That's...wow, I'm in awe. You thought of every subtle nuance and then you didn't just do them all - you nailed 'em! He looks every inch a 16 year old Georgia farm kid in his best suit of homespun with the hat his Grandpa Lem gave him when he volunteered. No shoes but a heart as big as Dixie.

All the best,
Dan

Guys, Thanks for all the kind words. A barefoot Civil War soldier was something I wanted to do for some time. The only thing needed was the right character head for what I envisioned. The left hand is also done it's just a separate piece in case you were wondering.~Gary

BEAUTIFUL WORK,Gary !!!! I may just get one to paint-up when it's released commercially,it's THAT GOOD !! Well Done !
Kenneth.

Gary, he's turned out a real beauty..I love all the attention to subtle detail...the end of the braces being just visible is a prime example and a lovely touch...

Superb job.....really looking forward to the 120mm sbs

Roy.

Kenneth & Roy, Thanks guys. Doing all the layers of clothing allowing for the addition of more detail is what made this project fun.

Alex, I did the figure in 1/35 for two reason.

1. I have a lot of commercial 1/35 resin heads that I need to start using on personal projects to justify purchasing them.

2. The 1/32 weapons work from the Dragon/DML Union Infantry set work well with this scale as the figures in the set are rather large and the weapons small for the scale.~Gary

Figure completed Okay I have to replace the little round finial on the cartridge box and add some buttonholes.
Don't forget to sculpt his left hand ;)

BTW, great sculpt overall.

Regards

Thanks, I mentioned in a more recent post the hand was done, it's on a brass pin so I just used the clay to show the position of the hand and rifle would be in.~Gary
