I have just started the same fig (along with the foot sergeant ) but my version is exclusively oil painted, so it is very interesting to compare it from your work.... i will therfore follow your post with the greatest interest !

A bit more progress on the Drummer Boy. I have started shading and highlighting his jacket and roughly starting to block in white lace and strapes. I have also done a little work on his shako.

Excelent progress! I'm thinking about buying this figure so this SBS will be useful.
Wasn't it difficult to cover with yellow+black primer below? I have had some bad experiences with Vallejo's yellow, it took me thousands of layers till I got a solid color
